Lovely cafe with outdoor seating too. Friendly staff, well-behaved dogs welcome. Mushroom soup was best I’ve ever had - clearly homemade with quality ingredients. Mega sausage roll was awesome too. And so was almond cake. The full tea set - cakes and sandwiches - looks excellent but we didn’t try it.

Beautiful peaceful place with a cafe with fabulous food and drinks. Loads of places to sit inside or out with a waitress service, lovely. Followed by a stroll around the remains of the priory. A truly dog friendly place, although it must be kept on lead because of the farm animals. They are also allowed in the cafe. Top notch!

Had a great afternoon walking around the grounds. Was fortunate enough to bump into Tony who was very generous with his time & knowledge of the area. The Tea Room was literally the icing on the cake and is a must visit.

A hidden gem of a place down a single track road, it has accomodation and holds weddings too apparently! I just went for lunch I had the greens and grains salad with chicken breast and the portion size was HUGE! Plus it came with lovely fresh bread

Small cafe set in beautiful countryside. I was taken by my daughter's for a cream tea as a birthday present. The gatehouse is quite small but during good weather you can sit outside and admire the views. They have their own bakery so the bread and cakes are home made and simply delicious. As cream teas have to be ordered we were a little bewildered when no one came to take the drinks order. Apparently you have to go to the counter and also choose which cake you want for your tea. There is a really good range of cakes too numerous to mention. Our tea consisted of sandwiches, tuna, cheese and pickle, ham etc, a bowl of crisps. Scones with jam and cream and or chosen cakes. It's a lovely spot for a cuppa even though it's off the beaten track.

An absolute treasure. Found this cafe by accident, while completing a 7 mile walk nearby. Log burner, fairy lights and rustic charm coupled with high quality tea and cakes. Perfect. Will definitely return. Note, the Beauvale Priory ruins are on-site. The Prior of the Monastery was one of the first martyrs to be executed by Henry VIII and Thomas Cromwell during the Reformation. The Monastery was ransacked shortly afterwards. We tried the lemon and raspberry cake and the frangipani tart. Both were absolutely delicious. Homemade and using proper ingredients - you could taste the butter in the pastry. We'll return.

We came here for a walk around the beautiful woods which you can access from the priory using the gate just behind the ruins. We also stopped for refreshments after our walk and enjoyed beautiful homemade cakes, award winning tea and a wonderful view of the countryside.
